Pink Tattoos
The hit rock star Pink is one of the toughest, wildest
celebrity ladies. Born Alicia Moore, the star changed her name to suit
her vibrant personality. Her unique style and emotional lyrics show that
this is one woman who loves to express herself. So, it should come as no
surprise that she sports numerous expressive tattoos on her body.
One of Pink’s newest tattoos commemorates the memory of her beloved dog,
Elvis, who passed away. Elvis was the singer’s bulldog who was lost
tragically after he drowned in a pool. Pink was so upset by his passing
that she decided to etch is memory onto her arm. Thus, she opted for a
tattoo that reads “A time to weep. A time to mourn. Sleep in peace.”
This tattoo joins another dedicated to Elvis. Pink has a portrait of the
dog on her left arm.
Another of Pink’s unique body art pieces is a “help” button on her arm.
The tattoo is meant to remind her to keep going even when life gets
hard. Plus, the star says she can always press it and hope things will
magically turn around. Unfortunately, she has not had much luck with
using it yet. In an interview, Pink said that she’s “got to get it
activated.” Pink also seeks reassurance from another tattoo; a guardian
angel sitting on her left shoulder.
One of Pink’s tattoo inspirations is clearly Asian philosophy. Pink has
some interest in Asian inspired tattoos. She has a Japanese symbol
representing happiness and another symbol for good luck. Additionally,
Pink’s ankle has a tattoo of the Chinese symbol for infinity. The star
also has an Asian style dragon on her leg.
Some of Pink’s other tattoos include a small musical note behind her
ear. She also has a bar code on the back of her neck, which is the
number from one of her hit albums, and dog tags representing her brother
and her father are on her right ankle. Pink has at least four heart
tattoos, one of which is a broken heart. When it comes to words, Pink
has the phrase “what goes around comes around” printed on her wrist as
well as the words “true love.” She also has “Mr. Pink” printed on her
inner thigh. Both thighs also sport pink bows just below her butt, which
makes for an interesting image when Pink is spotted in a bikini.
All in all, Pink has more than twenty tattoos around her body. Some of
these are actually pieces the singer designed herself. Rather than stick
with any particular style, each of her pieces is unique. Some are
inspired by cartoons, others have deeper cultural meaning. The one thing
they all have in common is that they are in some way important to this
star, and that is what truly matters when it comes to tattoos. |
